South West-based Torbay Pharmaceuticals has launched a recruitment campaign to support its growth plans.
The Devon pharma manufacturing company is aiming to strengthen its workforce with more than ten new positions in its production department
It comes after it was acquired by NorthEdge from Torbay and Devon NHS Foundation Trust in 2023.
NorthEdge investment will see Torbay Pharmaceuticals strengthen its capabilities and significantly expand its reach in North America. It will also continue to grow and invest in its 250-strong team at its Paignton headquarters.
Now Torbay Pharmaceuticals, who is a Contract Manufacturer of niche medicines for clients in the UK and overseas, is set for a period of sustained growth. It is seeking to employ new team members to support its expansion and meet growing demand for its products and services
Emma Rooth, chief executive of Torbay Pharmaceuticals, said: “These are exciting times for TP, and our growth will create brilliant job opportunities for people across Devon.
“Initially we are looking to recruit to our production team based here in Paignton – these are important roles which help us to deliver essential medicines to people across the UK and beyond.”
TP, in the longer term, is looking to recruit people into HR, marketing, finance, pharmaceutical specialist and quality-assurance and compliance roles.
